The very famous painting by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo” The Immaculate Conception of Los Venerables”, a painting from 1660–1665 housed in the Museo del Prado. It depicts the Virgin Mary in a traditional blue and white gown, with her hands folded in devotion and her gaze fixed heavenward, surrounded by clouds, angels, and a crescent moon. The painting is a prime example of Murillo’s ability to blend traditional iconography with his signature soft, luminous style.
